ONENESS - THE TOWER'S AMBIVALENCE

Medieval towers, supposedly had foundations as deep as they were high. The work was created in the Konin gallery, which is located in the water tower. The room adopted for the needs of the gallery, in which the water tank was once located, has an octagonal shape. The tower as a medieval symbol of man's pursuit of God or, if you prefer, towards the Absolute, like an octagonal baptismal font, provoked me to "pull" this story ... For work, I used boards from euro-pallets, which once moved horizontally, coding the existing reality . I marked on them two simplified urban and natural landscapes. The spiral, symbolic arrangement is established by stones drawn on the ropes. To the top there are planes made of bandages, for me, a symbol of transition into the spiritual sphere (a gesture of bandaging, mummification ...).
